Grand Rapids Offers One-Stop-Shop for Community

The Grand Rapids YMCA is revealing a major renovation, including a small Grand Itasca Clinic in its building.

The facility is a essentially a one-stop-shop for people in Itasca County.

The YMCA, Elder Living and city teamed up to open the free active living center complete with programs for infants to seniors.

“It’s a large gathering space where people can just come if they just want to share a cup of coffee with one another or they can come for a program or education,” said Executive Director of Itasca Area Family YMCA Betsy McBride.

The YMCA also has a new weigh room and cycling facility.
