Gov. Dayton to Sign Bills Avoiding Shutdown

No Government Shutdown

(AP) – Gov. Mark Dayton says he will sign the bills passed by a special legislative session, avoiding a government shutdown.

Dayton told reporters Saturday morning that Minnesota voters chose divided government in the last election  and that is what they got.

The Democratic governor says a sign of compromise is that no one is happy.

Minnesota lawmakers passed the final pieces of the state’s budget early Saturday morning.
