Drop and give me 20 – 20 minutes of reading, that is.
The saying is all part of a reading program put on by the Duluth Library Foundation.
On Thursday, kids got in on a fun reading experience while meeting with the Duluth Police Department to learn about their police cars.
“The more kids read, the more words they know; the more words they know, the more success they can have. It’s kind of a multiplier effect,” said Patra Sevastiades, executive director of the Duluth Library Foundation.
The next event – Roll Out the Red Carpet for Reading – is Saturday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Miller Hill Mall.
Clifford the Big Red Dog will be there with a bunch of fun reading activities, along with FOX 21’s Dan Hanger and his dog, Brewster!
