The 11th Annual Rhubarb Festival is this Saturday, June 27 at the First Lutheran Church.

The yearly event is CHUM Duluth’s largest fundraising event, and they are currently seeking volunteers to help with tasks ranging from chopping rhubarb to planning children’s events.

Volunteer Coordinator Courtney Cochran said it takes between 300 and 1,000 volunteers each year to make the Rhubarb Festival happen.

Volunteers are needed every day of the week, but especially for rhubarb truffle making, Tuesday, and pie baking, Thursday.

This will be the first year the festival has included rhubarb truffles.

Volunteers interested in making truffles should be at First United Methodist Church (Coppertop) between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Those interested in pie baking should report to First Lutheran Church on London Road, on Thursday.
