After 17 years serving as a staple in downtown Duluth, Jitters Coffee and Tea House now has new owners and a new name.

What’s now called the Lake Superior Bakehouse is owned by a brother and sister who have always dreamt of opening the shop.

They are revamping the interior of the bakery, and will rotate local artwork on the walls.

Jitters regulars will be happy to know the coffee will be kept the same, but the new menu will offer all made–from–scratch in-house pastries.

“Get outside of cupcakes, get outside of donuts, get outside of cookies, try a scone that has jalapeños and sausage in it, try a tart that has tomato in it,” said Katina Petsoulis, Co-owner of the Lake Superior Bakehouse.

The official grand opening will take place August 8.
