Teen Sentenced to Life in Prison for Murder

An Ashland teen will be spending the rest of his life behind bars.

Fifteen year old Joseph Ackley got his sentence for killing 52–year–old William Saari and trying to kill his mother.

Court documents say he also shot at an officer.

All of this happened in December of 2013 because he hadn’t been allowed to go see his girlfriend.

Ackley is convicted of first degree intentional homicide and first degree attempted intentional homicide.

He’ll be eligible to petition for parole after 40 years.
