Candidate Enters Race for Duluth School Board
Duluth Woman Announces Bid for School Board Member At-Large
Thursday, a Duluth woman announced that she’s running for a Duluth School Board At-Large seat.
Renee Van Nett is a mother and licensed foster mother who works as the Employment Liaison for Community Action Duluth and lives in Lincoln Park.
She received an Associates of Arts degree from the Leech Lake Tribal College and a B.A. in Organizational Management and Communications from Concordia University.
Renee is active in our community; serving as the current past President of the Citizens’ Review Board, Board Co-Chair of the Cross Cultural Alliance and Chair of the Lincoln Park Children and Family Collaborative.
“I will remain focused on kids and their families, staff, and our community as I make decisions. I will strive to have fiscal accountability, transparency and community connectedness. You can depend on me to remain focused on the children,” said Van Nett.
Those looking to enter the Duluth School District’s School Board races can officially file for candidacy on July 7th.
