Greysolon Awning to be Replaced in Duluth
Detour Planned for Greysolon Awning Replacement
An historic building is finally getting repairs to a damaged area of it.
The Greysolon Plaza is getting a new awning after its previous one collapsed in December of 2013.
That means a closure is planned along the westbound lane of Superior Street, between 3rd and 2nd Ave East, on Monday, June 29 outside of the Greysolon Plaza.
A crane will be in place around 3:00 a.m. to install the new overhang on the building.
All west bound traffic on Superior Street will be detoured up to 1st Street.
East bound Superior Street traffic will not be affected.
The project is expected to take 4 hours.
The plan is to have the crane removed from Superior Street by 7:00 a.m.
