Same-Sex marriages legal in all 50 states

(AP) – A large and boisterous crowd has turned out to celebrate at the annual gay pride parade in Minneapolis in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that same-sex marriages are legal in all 50 states.

Revelers cheered “Love wins” at Sunday’s parade through downtown Minneapolis.

The Star Tribune reports Hennepin Avenue’s sidewalks were wall-to-wall with spectators, and the rooftop dining and drinking spots were jammed with onlookers.

Police officers at the front of the procession held U.S. and Pride rainbow flags aloft.

Glitter was thrown from the rooftops, fluttering to the street below.

Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges rode in the parade on a motorcycle.

Minnesota legalized gay marriage in 2013.
