Man Dies in Bayfield County Motorcycle Crash
Iron River Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash
On Sunday, July 05, 2015 at 3:10 a.m. a Bayfield County Deputy was on patrol and came across a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Hwy 2.
Iron River EMS and Fire department were requested to respond to the scene.
A motorcycle operated by 29-year-old Thomas Beeksma, of Iron River, WI was traveling on Hwy 2 near Deep Lake Rd when he lost control of his motorcycle.
Beeksma was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bayfield County Coroner.
Beeksma was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The accident remains under investigation by the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office.
