Northlanders filled the Dubh Linn restaurant, Sunday, to watch the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team take on Japan in the World Cup Finals.

Fans dressed up in red, white, and blue and cheered for the Women’s team as they hit the pitch, in Vancouver.

Chants of “U-S-A” and “I Believe That We Will Win” rang throughout the building as the U.S. bolted out to an early 3-0 lead.

The fans devotion was well rewarded as the outcome of the game was never in question.

Soccer Fan Kandi Geary had sage words during the game when she said the U.S. was going to win and win big.

The American’s  5-2 victory made tonight’s final the highest scoring championship in the history of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Red, White, and Blue also became the first nation to hoist 3 Women’s World Cup Trophies.

It was the first U.S. championship since the 1999 cup when the U.S. defeated the Chinese on penalty kicks.
