14 New Trees Damaged in Superior

Superior Police are asking for the public’s help catching the people who damaged 14 new trees over the weekend in the area of N. 12th Street and Hughitt Avenue.

Police say each tree is valued at $150, so it created about $2,100 in damages.

The trees were recently planted to replace the trees which had to be removed because of the Emerald Ash Borer problem in Superior.

Police expect the vandalized trees to be replaced over time.

They say information about the crime can be reported to the police department by contacting 911, going to the Department website, going to their Facebook Page, leaving anonymous web tips (select “Submit A Tip), by calling the Department Tipline at 715-395-7468, using Anonymous Text Tips: text keyword “spdtip” to 847411 or by using the Superior Police Department’s Tip Smart Phone App.
