$3.2 Million Project to Start in St. Louis County

Multi-Million Dollar Road Project Starts Wednesday

A $3.2 million project to re-pave six miles of Martin Road (County State Aid Highway 9) begins Wednesday, July 8.

The project – which spans from Midway Road to Rice Lake Road – will initially focus on repairing multiple culverts, followed by resurfacing the road.

Martin Road will remain open to traffic throughout the project, which is expected to be complete in mid-September.

However, motorists should expect delays due to temporary lane closures, as well as rough surfaces at times.

Drivers are reminded to pay attention when traveling through this or any construction zone, to slow down and follow the direction of road crews, and to remain alert for vehicles that may brake suddenly.

Setting down phones to minimize distractions is also recommended.
