A new concept is coming to the Two Harbors business community.

Dan Cruikshank, who found success as a co-founder of Granite Gear, will be opening another business in the Lake County community.

Spokengear is scheduled to open in late fall, barring any setbacks.

The store will sell bicycles and fresh coffee.

Cruikshank will also return to his roots, so to speak, by selling bicycle bags made on site.

Spokengear will also carry outdoor clothing and gear from brands like Patagonia.

Construction crews are already at work, clearing the land and prepping the site where the new store will be built.

Several cedar trees have been cut to make room for the storefront, but Cruikshank is having those trees turned into paneling at a local saw mill.

Cruikshank said Tuesday that his is not a completely original business concept.

There are approximately 200 stores similar to Spokengear across the country.
