Those traveling on Martin Road can expect to see lane closures for the rest of the summer.

It’s a $3.2 million project to repave 6 miles of Martin Road from Midway to Rice Lake Road.

With more than 5,000 drivers using the road per day, workers are reminding them to pay attention.

“People should expect some delays during the project.  Try and avoid the road if possible, it’s going to be gravel and bumpy in a few weeks all the way through September.  It’ll be really nice when it’s done.  But, try to avoid it the rest of the summer if you can,” said Resident Engineer of St. Louis County, Steve Krasaway.

The project is expected to be complete mid-September.
