Pop rock musician, singer–songwriter Rick Springfield took over Bayfront Park Thursday night.

Some may know him as Dr. Noah Drake from the daytime soap opera General Hospital, but when you think Rick Springfield, most people think ‘Jessie’s Girl.’

Back in 1981 Sringfield won a Grammy for the number one smash hit, along with some of his other well–known songs, including ‘Don’t Talk to Strangers,’ ‘An Affair of the Heart,’ ‘Love Somebody,’ and ‘Human Touch.’

Plus, the two acts who opened up for Springfield weren’t too shabby either.

The band MYNX is a true staple of Duluth’s ’80s rock and dance scene, and have been entertaining crowds for more than 30 years.

And The Romantics you may know for their hit ‘What I Like About You.’
