More than 400 people got private showing of Sunday of the multi–million dollar renovations at the Fond-du-Luth Casino gave.
They are half way through the transformation, which includes 100 more machines, fiery carpeting, a new bar, fancy lighting and more.
Guests will also be able to play Blackjack again, which was not accessible because of the construction.
“I really like it a lot, I think they’ve done a good job,” said Jerry Salveson. “Not just with the finishes and the look but the whole layout. It’s much more open, doesn’t have the hidden back corners. Everything seems to be one big place now I like it.”
Officials tell FOX 21 Fond-du-Luth Casino has not been remodeled since the ’90s.
“There’s lots of area businesses that have been stepping up and improving their properties,” Fond-du-luth Casino marketing manager Tina Nordin said. “So I feel great that we’re able to be a part of that to keep the whole area nice.”
The first floor of the casino will also be transformed and become a smoke-free zone.
The second floor of the casino will be officially open to the public Monday at noon.
The first floor of the casino will close for the next 45 days to be remodeled.
