Duluth Residents Asked to Conserve Water

City Asks Residents to Conserve Water

The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities department is asking that all Duluth residents and businesses conserve water usage today (Tuesday) until Thursday evening.

Crews are working to repair several water main breaks and is also conducting necessary maintenance on a water transmission line which is a main feeder that serves all areas in the city.

Water service will not be interrupted but the system could be strained if there is high demand from customers during these repairs.

The public should wait until Thursday to use appliances that require large amounts of water such as washing machines, dishwashers, or hot tubs.

The public is also asked to refrain from watering lawns during this water conservation period.
