Virginia Man Pleads Guilty to Second-Degree Murder

Could Face up to 40 Years in Prison

A Virginia man has pleaded guilty to beating a man to death during a fight.

Michael Daufelt, 39, made the plea to a second-degree murder charge claiming responsibility for the unintentional death of David Super of Virginia.

The fight happened in May on the 700-block of North 6th Avenue after two days of drinking.

Super’s body was found in a Virginia apartment and an autopsy revealed he died from multiple blunt force trauma.

A witness told police she wanted to get Super help during the beating, but he kept telling her no because Daufelt was his best friend.

Daufelt could spend up to 40 years in prison.

He will be sentenced August 31 at 11:00 a.m.
