UMD surveyed nearly 2000 alumni who received degrees between July 2013 and June 2014.

The study showed 97% of the graduates surveyed are employed or continuing their education.

Eighty-five percent of them found jobs related to their majors.

“The possibilities are there and just go for it,” UMD career and internship services assistant director Janet Pribyl said. “A college education is still worth it.”

University staff believe the success has to do with the economy turning around, students doing internships and being more proactive.
