Water Valve Repair to Disrupt Service in Hillside Neighborhood

Valve Replacement Will Disrupt Water Service in Duluth's Hillside Neighborhood

The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities department is working on a water valve replacement as part of the East 4th Street Reconstruction project.

Due to this work, residential homes and businesses located between 16th Ave East and 22nd Ave East and East 4th Street and East Superior Street will be without water starting at 4:00 pm today, July 15.

Water service is anticipated to be back on by 8:00 am on Thursday.

The City apologizes for this disruption and thanks the public for their patience.

The City would like to remind residents to continue limiting the use of large household appliances that consume significant amounts of water and refrain from watering lawns until Thursday evening.

Duluth residents interested in receiving emergency notifications by email or text messages are encouraged to register online for a community notification system, called Code Red.
