Sweet Life in Cloquet
Candy Store Will Special Order
Sorry, this video is no longer available
Amy Louhela uses a candy shop backdrop for some of her photography work.
It was people’s response to that backdrop that led to her decision to open a candy store in Cloquet.
Louhela said she got the idea after multiple people told her how great it would be if she actually had a candy shop.
The Sweet Life just opened and Louhela is already having trouble keeping the store stocked due to high demand.
The Sweet Life’s inventory consists of standards like starbursts and pop rocks, but also includes chocolates and fudge from Sweden Sweets in Superior.
Louhela also has a public candy wish list in the store.
Anyone who can’t find their favorite candy at the Sweet Life need only write the candy on the wish list and the store will do their best to locate it and add it to the inventory.
The Sweet Life is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
