Early Morning Fire Spreads from Garage to Vehicles

A fire broke out in Superior this morning.

At 4:41 this morning, all three engine crews, Battalion Chief, Gold Cross Ambulance and four Superior Police officers were called to a fully involved garage fire.

Engine three was first on scene and reported a detached garage fully involved with fire and several vehicles also on fire at 4107 Itasca St.

They deployed a hose line and used their 1,000 gallons to protect the house and two neighboring garages.

All three were showing signs of heat damage.

Crews hooked up to a hydrant using approximately 10,000 gallons of water to put out the cars that were on fire and cool all exposures.

Water and light was called to cut the electric lines that were involved in the fire.

No injuries occurred and the home owner has contacted their insurance company.

The fire is still under investigation.

Total damages are estimated at $70,000.
