A volunteer group, pedaling for more affordable housing brings new life to one locals home.

Bike and Build bikes across the United States to help repair homes.

On this nearly three month journey they stopped in the Northland to help repair a home in west Duluth.

The volunteers along with Habitat for Humanity spruced up the home with a new paint job, fixed up the shed and foundation.

“I think we really made an impact,” Bike and Build trip leader Sam Bondurant said. “I was really pleased with coming into Duluth, people were very welcoming. We managed to actually get some really good work done here on the house.”

The repairs were part of Habitat for Humanity Brush with Kindness program.
