It was last week when a man was arrested in Superior accused of murdering a 7 year old boy back in his hometown of Chicago.

Monday morning, we found out the suspect will be heading back to Illinois to face those charges.

Twenty year old, Rasheed Martin, will be extradited back to Chicago.

Martin had been wanted in connection with a gang related shooting that killed 7-year-old, Amari Brown.

He was arrested last week after being found at an apartment complex in Superior.

Monday, Martin agreed to waive extradition and voluntarily return to Illinois to face charges in the murder case.

Illinois authorities were notified immediately of Martin’s decision and are making arrangements to come get him.

A hearing is expected to happen quickly after he is returned to Chicago.
