The legal battle between the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and City of Duluth over casino back payments is officially over.

A U.S. District Court judge ruled Tuesday the band does not owe the city any past due money for rent on the casino building.

The city argued the band owed it more than $10 million dollars in casino revenue from 2009 to 2011.

The city had used 19 percent of casino revenue every year in the past for street repairs.

The ruling ends a six year legal battle between both parties.
