The popular food has spawned countless restaurants and been a favorite at sports parties for decades.

It has also been the staple food that spawned national chain restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings, Wings and Rings, and Hooters.

In 2013 more than 27 Billion wings were eaten in the United States.
