Tomorrow, a nation-wide event will bring neighborhoods out on the streets!

Tuesday, August 4, is a day to celebrate police-community relationships.

Officer Ron Tinsley, with the Duluth Police Department, stopped by FOX Sunrise to chat about the event.

The 32nd National Night Out Crime and Drug Prevention event aims at teaching citizens how they can help prevent crime, and build relationships with police and neighbors.

This is done by neighborhoods hosting block parties around the country. Police stop by and interact with residents.

If you’d like to register a block party, e-mail Pam Kleinschmidt at pkleinschmidt@duluthmn.gov, or call 218-730-5890.
