A press conference was held in Duluth, Monday afternoon, celebrating the EPA’s announcement of the Clean Power Plan.

Meanwhile, Governor Scott Walker’s office announced Wisconsin will be joining more than a dozen other states to bring a law suit against the Federal Government over the plan.

The plan pushes states to reduce their carbon dioxide output to 68% of 2005 levels by 2030.

Proponents say it will equate to taking 150 million cars off the road.

Opponents say the act will have detrimental effects on state economies and cost thousands of people their jobs.
