Fire Destroys Namakagon Chief Bar

Northern Wisconsin Bar Destroyed by Fire

Tuesday afternoon at 3:11 a page was received for a large amount of smoke billowing out of the Namakagon Chief Bar located at 43255 Co Hwy D in the Town of Namakagon.

First in engine reported smoke and fire coming out of the South end of the building, no one was there at the time of the fire which was reported by several passerby’s.

Hose lines were advanced to that part of the building and an exterior attack was started because an interior attack was unsafe.

A Master stream was also directed to the center of the building along with a 2 1/2” hose line.

After about 1/2 hour into fighting the fire the roof collapsed.

The building is a total loss.

There was mutual aid assistance from Cable Fire Department, Drummond Fire Department and the Grandview Fire Department.

The Namakagon Volunteer Fire Department had personal on scene until 9:20 p.m.
