The first all-female crew in a more than 20-year-old sailboat race crossed the finish line Wednesday.

The Indigo Girls cruised into Canal Park after sailing 326 nautical miles in the 2015 Trans Superior International Yacht Race.

The crew of six is one of 29 teams taking on the voyage.

They finished just short of 96 hours in their 29 foot sailboat.

“They are the greatest team ever, I could ever have asked to sail with,” said Debbie Almirall with the Indigo Girls. “Fabulous women and they’re great sailors and great people.”

The race kicked off Saturday near Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
