The next few days will be dedicated to celebrating a big draw in Canal Park and the Twin Ports.
The Lake Superior Maritime Museum is hosting the 13th Annual Lighthouse Days.
From now until Sunday visitors can participate in lighthouse arts and crafts, pier history tours and movies.
“Kind of a great way to learn about the history of lighthouses and why they were so important to the maritime industry,” Lake Superior Maritime Museum director Denis Wolvin said.
The celebration kicks off every year around the time president George Washington signed the Ninth Act of Congress federalizing the nation’s lighthouses on August 7th, 1789.
