Tis the season for summer celebrations and Saturday it was Superior’s turn to step up to the plate, hosting Summerfest.
Last year, the town held its first ever summer festival showcasing major reconstruction improvements in the downtown business district of North Tower Avenue.
This year the family-fun event aimed to bring awareness to everything Superior has to offer.
“It is an image building event. It’s an event to get people over here to see what Superior really does look like now, but it isn’t what people think often. Also, certainly to try and create business for those businesses on the street,” said Superior Business Improvement District’s Executive Director Kaye Tenerelli.
The event offered food, games, vendors and live entertainment including young rockers from Deepwater Music.
“Today made me really nervous, I don’t know it just did but then I like it a lot, so year,” said musician Rokkyn.
The Superior Business Improvement District made the event possible.
They told Fox 21 they plan to make the festival a yearly attraction.
