Duluth Man Hit By Car Dies in Hospital

A Duluth man has died from his injuries after he was hit by a car.

Authorities said Eric Madrid, 40, was walking down the middle of CTH T near Apple Lake Rd. in the Town of Wascott late Friday night when he was hit.

Dense fog was reported at the time.

He was taken to a Duluth hospital by ambulance where he died Monday afternoon.

The driver, Ann Murray, 49, of Superior, was arrested for operating after revocation and operating while intoxicated, a third offense on her record.

The crash is under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
