The sixth annual Art in Bayfront Park is in the books.

The festival drew hand-selected artists from across the United States and Canada.

In total, 160 top-notch artists were on hand to display everything from necklaces to sculptures.

For those not looking to buy art and instead learn, there were classes offered at the park.

For some local artists on display at the event, it was a family tradition.

Ryan and James Pederson collaborate to create landscapes and seascapes made out of steel.

“I taught art in Bloomington, Minnesota and retired in 1999–2000. When I retired Ryan ended up getting my teaching job,” explained James Pedersen, an artist and retired teacher.

The Pedersen’s art was awarded best in show.

Organizers are already planning for next year’s art show, which they said will be held the same week as the Tall Ships Festival.
