If you’re unemployed or low-skilled, there’s a new pre-apprenticeship program in the Northland to help people get back on their feet and into the carpentry industry.

“We’re a community action agency, which is moving folks out of poverty and in to prosperity. And we feel in our department to do that is to train low-skilled individuals for employment,” said Beth Peterson, with the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency.

The program starts in September.

Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
