Authorities find Body of Missing Cloquet Man in Cook County

Cook County authorities have found the body of a missing 22-year-old from Cloquet.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office says around 10 a.m. Wednesday they were notified by the Minnesota State Patrol of an abandoned vehicle on Highway 61 near the Kadunce River.

So they started searching for Justin John Schneider and discovered his body around 10:35 Thursday morning.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Cook County Search and Rescue, the Minnesota State Patrol, United States Border Patrol, Hovland Stop Team, Hovland Fire Department, Colvill Fire Department and St. Louis County Search and Rescue Squad’s K-9’s Ike & Ted all helped out with the search.

Authorities say the matter remains under investigation but believe he committed suicide.
