“Even after this you guys continue to meet up and bring your dogs out, that would be really awesome,” said Lindsey Asbury, Oscar’s owner.

They asked for just one corgi and at least a dozen came out.

“It’s been a phenomenal thing and something we’ll always remember,” said Tom Asbury, Oscar’s other owner.

Little legs and large rounded ears filled the Keene Creek Dog Park.

“I love it, I didn’t know there were so many in the area,” said corgi lover Chelsea Meredith.

The star of the corgi fest was Oscar.

This all came about after a recent teeth cleaning revealed a devastating truth.

“It was cancer throughout his jaw,” said Tom.

Instead of taking their fury family member through aggressive chemo therapy, the Asburys decided to travel a happier and more fulfilling route to Oscar’s last days.

“It’s really awesome to see what he’s done, but the girls are really sad,” said Tom.

After receiving the news daughters Blake and Isabella made a bucket list with the help of their veterinarian.

“Go to Enger Tower, kayak, swim in Lake Superior,” said Tom as he read off the bucket list. “Go camping, play with another Corgi.”

A simple request on Facebook inviting other corgis to a meet and greet made that final wish come true.

“I just hope he has the best time of his life for the next 3 to 6 months,” said event attendee Garrett Jenkins.

Corgi owners and lovers made the trip.

Some drove hours to get there.

“I just love their little stubby legs and they’re tall ears,” said Meredith.

While Oscar’s list is small, it has made big waves across the world.

“Has been translated into Norwegian, it’s been in the Netherlands, Australia,” said Tom.

His story still continues to touch hearts.

“Safe journey to Oscar when he passes and good luck to the family and God bless,” said Meredith.

The list may be complete but Oscar’s owners tell FOX 21 they will still take him for walks and maybe get ice cream.
