House Explodes on Iron Range Monday Morning

Home Does Not Catch Fire

Early Monday morning, a house exploded on the Iron Range.

It happened around 1 a.m. on the 3300 block of Highway 53, just south of Eveleth.

The home is owned by 52-year-old David Youngberg, but no one was home at the time and the home did not catch fire.

The explosion is currently under investigation.
