Man Sentenced for Rice Lake Home Invasion

One of the men involved in an armed home invasion in Rice Lake Township has been sentenced.

Twenty–nine year–old John Sorenson of Duluth will be spending more than 14 years in prison for committing second degree criminal sexual conduct and first degree aid and abet aggravated robbery.

He and 24–year–old Guy Rabold of Duluth were charged for the home invasion in June.

St. Louis County authorities say they caught the two trying to escape them after holding the homeowners at gunpoint forcing them to open their gun safe.
