Norshor Theater Presentation, Fees and Renovation Ideas

Duluthian's Property Taxes Would Remain Unaffected

The Committee Of the Whole reviewed a major proposal to renovate the NorShor Theater on Monday.

Chief Administrative Officer David Montgomery said the project, a $29.6-million dollar renovation, would be fully funded thanks to grants, historic tax credits, The Department of Economic Development Authority, Sherman Equity, and the Duluth Playhouse.

Therefore Duluthians property taxes would remain unaffected.

Final agreements will be brought to the Duluth Economic Development Authority for approval on September 23rd, and voted on by city council members September 28th.
