Fire Damages Home in Rice Lake

Home Damaged in Fire

Lightning is believed to have sparked a fire in Rice Lake.

Authorities responded to 4382 Martin Road for a house fire shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Officials say the lightning hit a nearby tree which caused the fire.

The fire appeared to be mostly contained in the attic.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident and no one was home when it happened.

Total damage estimates are unknown at this time.
