Saturday, crowds packed a section of East First Street to celebrate Minnesota music and culture.

The Red Herring Lounge hosted the first–ever ‘Super Big Block Party.”

Original musicians from all across Minnesota took to the big stage set up on the street.

Organizers say the event is a good way to enjoy local music the state has to offer.

“I hope people come out to this event and have a really great time and meet people that they don’t know and see music that they haven’t seen before,” said the Owner of the Red Herring Lounge, Bob Monahan.

The block party ended at 10 PM, but the after party continued inside until bar close.
