Monday morning, the Superior Federation of Labor invited union families and union supporters to ‘Start Their Day the Superior Way.’
Muffins, bagels, fruit and coffee were provided at the ILA Hall.
Event organizers say showing solidarity with union employees is crucial to supporting the American Dream and the middle class.
“They’re either working and taking care of their customers, making sure their employers are happy so the business runs smoothly, so that they have a job, our employers are important to us just like our customers are,” said Janice Terry, President of the Superior Federation of Labor.
“It’s a nice day that we take off to enjoy our families also, because we labor so hard all day, that in the evenings, to have time with our families is great,” Terry added. “So this is a moment where we all come together, and we all kind of relax, talk about family, friends, a little bit of work.”
The Federation of Labor hopes to make this breakfast an annual tradition.
