The United Way’s 24th Annual Chili cook-off kicks off tomorrow, and it’s for a good cause.

“So this event really shows community what we’re all about.” said Taire Lind Suliin, the Event Manager.

“They are able to come by our expo and check out the number of people that are here from our agency partners, find out what they do, maybe volunteer for them, and then eat 34 different chilis if they can get all the way around the floor.”

The tickets are 8 dollars for general admission, 3 dollars for kids under 12, and kids under 5 get in for free.  This year’s proceeds will help United Way Run community fundraising efforts in Ashland-Bayfrield counties, greater Duluth, the North Shore, and Superior Douglas county.
