It was 14 years ago today that 19 terrorists from Al-Qaeda, Hijacked 4 commercial airplanes as part of terrorist attacks. The attacks killed 2,977 people.

A ceremony was held today at the Duluth Veterans Center, to honor those who lost their lives in the tragedy.

“We do re-adjustment counseling for combat veterans and their families, so we do have a pretty close connection with that event specifically,  so it just falls right in our wheel house to do a remembrance thing.”  Said Chris Roemhildt,  Outreach Specialist of  the Duluth Veterans Center.

The honor guard, veterans, servicemen and people from the northland area gathered together to honor the fallen.

The Veterans center said that they plan on holding the remembrance ceremony for as long as people come.
