Tansy Faire kicked off a craft show inside the Carnegie Library featuring more than 40 local businesses and crafters.
Proceeds from the show’s entrance fee will go to The Friends of the Carnegie Library to help pay for maintenance on the building until someone buys it.
“I think a library, to tear a library down is to really tear down the structure of your community,” said Laura Wagenschutz with Tansy Faire. “So I’m excited about this and to be able to be apart of it.”
The Friends of the Carnegie Library bought the building in 2006, so it would not be torn down.
Several people have recently come forward expressing a desire to purchase it.
