Dozens of veterans and volunteers came together for an Honor Flight Northland reunion.

Those who took part in the eighth annual Honor Flight earlier this year came together in the Denfeld High School Saturday.

Attendants shared stories and watched a video from the recent trip.

Honor Flight Northland is an organization that flies veterans out to Washington, D.C. to tour the sights and memorials free of charge.

“Many of them said it was the greatest thing that’s ever happened to them, and that’s what it’s all about,” said Honor Flight Volunteer Scott Lyons.

“I’m retired from the veteran’s clinic in Superior, Wisconsin, and I was told to go on that flight and I’m glad I did,” said Korean War Veteran Rose Leslie.

The next flight is set for April 30th, 2016.
