Epicurean, a Duluth based company, is expanding and moving to a larger manufacturing facility in Superior.

The kitchen utensil company was founded in 2003 by a custom skate park manufacturer, TrueRide, as a way to re-purposes excess material generated while manufacturing.

“They make cutting boards and other utensils and related items that go to almost 50 countries,  sell domestically to crate and barrels, targets, those kinds of companies, so it’s really exciting opportunity to have this company, have them expand here, and to keep them in the twin ports.” Said Jason Serck, Economic Planning and Port Director of Superior.

The company is growing, and with that, they are running out of space. They purchased the sixty thousand square foot facility that they are relocating to next spring, once renovation is complete.

The company currently has 45 to 50 employees, all who are relocating to the new facility.
