SHS Students Evacuated for Bomb Scare at UWS

Superior Students Evacuated for Bomb Threat

Students at Superior High School are in the process of being evacuated due to a bomb threat at UW–Superior.

According to UW-Superior, a suspicious package was found in the parking lot of Ross Hawkes Hall and Superior Police are on the scene.

Superior School District officials say the students are in a safe/secure location at the high school.

Buses are arriving at SHS to transport students to Superior Middle School.

Students will be held there until the end of the day and transported home on their regular routes.

Many streets are blocked off around the high school.

Officials are asking people not go to the high school.

The school district says it will dismiss students safely from the middle school.

Students that have their own vehicle at SHS will be allowed to leave the high school only if administration/police believe it is safe to do so.
